Tofaş Die Manufacturing Unit has been one of the leading die manufacturers in Türkiye since 1980. With its capacity to produce G1 Tandem and transfer tools, Tofaş has remarkable experience in engineering and production of both complex structural and body part dies. Beyond its competency on steel parts, Tofaş Die unit is also competitive on aluminum outer and inner panels. Having the capability to manage the die production processes from the macro feasibility to the final validation, Tofaş Die Unit has been a reliable partner of European and LATAM customers for 40 years with its strong project management and impressive quality level.

FROM ENGINEERING TO COMMISSIONING

With the high competency on die engineering, Tofaş Die unit is able to realize a full scop feasibilities of a new vehicle model. By this Tofaş Die unit can manage die manufacturing activities from macro feasibility to home line tryouts.

ENGINEERING

Tofaş Die Unit is able to carry out stampability analysis, process design, full-cycle simulation, 3D die design, structural & kinematic analysis and spring-back compensation at engineering phase with the highly competent engineering team. Tofaş Die Unit does not only design die processes, but also improves its manufacturing processes. Tofaş Die unit has more than 15 approved patents on die manufacturing so far. In addition to high-end die & design processes, Tofaş Die Unit has also developed a software for project management and die design automation.

PRODUCTION

Tofaş Die Unit is capable of machining and trying out of G1-G2-G3 die sets with its 300k hour/year capacity.

Tofaş Die Unit has been continuously searching for opportunities to further improve its capability both at technology and competency. The machine park is equipped with tailor-made industry 4.0 solutions such as visual control systems, precision vibration sensors and parameter management which enable productivity and quality.

Tofaş Die Unit has improved its skills at Body Side Outer Panels by making for various OEMs. Tofaş Die Unit has created 18 die sets in 20 years.

ALUMINUM COMPETENCY

With the increase of aluminum usage in automotive sector, Tofaş Die Unit has developed its competency in this field and provided aluminum outer & inner doors for die production project of Maserati Grecale.
